Sealers
|
We offer a full line of sealers—all water-based.
Sealers coat porous surfaces so that water, oil and stains slick off instead of sinking in. This makes sealed surfaces much easier to keep clean.
In addition to coating surfaces so contaminants cannot get in, our sealers keep some problem materials from getting out and becoming a source of indoor air pollution. For example, we have sealers that can be used on particleboard to lock in any formaldehyde that was used as an adhesive when the panel was made.
To be effective, sealers should always be applied as two or three coats.

Multipurpose sealers |

Safecoat DecKote |
|
Creates a tough, unbroken coating on decks, patios and walkways made of metal or concrete. Available plain or pre-mixed with sand for added traction. Can be tinted. |

Safecoat Hard Seal |
|
A general-purpose sealer mostly used to block offgassing of toxic compounds. Use it on vinyl, porous tile, concrete, plastics and unfinished wood products such as particleboard. Multiple coats create a gloss finish. Not for high-moisture areas. |

Safecoat Dynoseal |
|
A low-odor, paint-on asphaltic membrane. Creates a waterproof coating for shower stalls, pools, roofs—anywhere moisture collects. Adheres to concrete block, metal and wood. Needs a topcoat for protection from ultraviolet rays from the sun. |

Forsite |
|
Forsite is a mold and mildew reistant coating based on silver, which helps prevent mold growth on a variety of surfaces. |

Safecoat Safe Seal |
|
A low-gloss, flexible sealer designed especially for very porous surfaces, including particleboard. Besides blocking offgassing, it improves the effectiveness of floor covering adhesives by preventing over-absorption into the surfaces being bonded. |

Safecoat Polyureseal BP |
|
An exceptionally durable, abrasion-resistant polyurethane—a state-of-the-art alternative to conventional solvent- and water-based products. Tough enough for warehouse floors. |

Safecoat Acrylacq |
|
A clear, water-based synthetic that replaces high-solvent lacquer. High gloss. Suitable for spraying. |

Masonry sealers |

Safecoat Water Shield |
|
A water repellent that also hardens and prevents chalky deposits on masonry. Free of silicones, so it may be used over paint and may itself be painted. Good for very porous masonry. Not for dense surfaces such as slate. |

Safecoat Penetrating Water Stop |
|
A water repellent suitable for very dense surfaces, such as slate and even polished marble. For surfaces that are midway between very porous and very dense, mix WaterShield and Water Stop. |

Safecoat MexeSeal |
|
A very durable sealer, great for porous, unpolished clay tiles, stone, granite, slate, concrete and stone pavers, and masonry surfaces where oil and water repellence are desired. Multiple coats build a gloss finish. |
